Billing & pricing FAQ

What is included in the Free plan?

The Free plan gives you a private ConnectMQ broker with 10,000 session minutes, up to 5 concurrent connections and 256 KB messages — no card required. It is one-time: the minutes do not renew each month. Move to Basic or Scale whenever you need more.

Will I ever be charged for overages?

No. Paid plans have a fixed monthly price and there are no overage charges. You can follow your usage in the dashboard and move to a larger plan whenever you need more.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Cancel in a few clicks: your plan stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for, then it does not renew. There is no minimum term and there are no cancellation fees.

What is your refund policy?

If a paid plan is not right for you, you can request a full refund within 30 days of any payment — no questions asked. Refunds go back to your original payment method. See our refund policy for the details.

Who processes my payment?

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles checkout, payments, invoices, sales tax and VAT, and refunds, and offers cards and other payment methods available in your country.

Are taxes included in the price?

Prices are shown in USD and exclude taxes. Depending on where you are, Paddle adds VAT or sales tax at checkout and sends you a compliant invoice for every payment.

What is a session minute?

A session minute is one MQTT client connected to your broker for one minute. Your plan includes an allowance of session minutes — one-time on Free, monthly on Basic and Scale — and you can follow your usage in the dashboard.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. You can move between plans whenever your usage changes. Every plan is standard MQTT 3.1.1 and MQTT 5 with the same platform, so your devices and applications keep working without code changes.
